Phase 2 of the application configuration will be a bit more intense. This enhancement will contain all the available built-in options for the application configuration, such as app.name, app.timezone, etc.

Further updates will allow individual modules to configure the application with their own options. Such as the cache module allowing the default cache backend to be set.
