At the moment, when you load a a folder, nothing happens until the folder contents is displayed. Then if the folder is empty nothing seems to happen again. This is because the folder is, of couse, empty, so there is nothing to put in it.

I would like to:

Show an icon or some other message saying that folder is empty.
Show an icon ot message indicating that the folder contents is loading.

Turns out I actually already had this in place, it just wasn't working correctly due to previous changes to the layout. I have updated it to work with the new layout and everything looks much better.
